Please refer to the following link for a more in-depth explanation of MercenaryCentral procedures: Official MercenaryCentral Linkshell Rules The Short Version If you read nothing else, make sure you read this. 1. Sign up for Assaults in the Upcoming Events forum. 2. Have three ID tags ready for each event. 3. Be in Aht Urghan Whitegate at the event's scheduled start time. 4. Keep your Expanded Roster entries updated. Recruitment To become a member of the MercenaryCentral linkshell, the following requirements must be met: - Treasures of Aht Urghan expansion pack, installed and registered - Mission 2 completed in the ToAU storyline - Level 60 in at least one job - Access to all Assault Staging Points in Aht Urghan New members will receive a linkpearl shortly before their first linkshell Assault mission. They will be eligible for group rewards after completing three Assault missions (in other words, one evening of missions) with the linkshell. Attendance MercenaryCentral is not a primary linkshell. The linkpearl is only equipped during official linkshell events. If you wish to participate in an Assault evening, it is highly, highly recommended that you sign up on this website beforehand. The sign-up deadlines for our Assaults are as follows: - Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. EST, for Wednesday evening Assaults - Friday, 8:00 P.M. EST, for Saturday afternoon Assaults A linkshell member that arrives late to an evening's events will only receive credit for attending those missions for which they stay the entire duration. Missions Linkshell events are scheduled regularly to begin at the following times: - Wednesday, 8:00pm EST - Saturday, 1:00pm EST Parties will be formed based on the job and levels of members in attendance. While each party will complete the same Assault mission simultaneously, the level adjustments will differ depending on the makeup of each party. Parties will focus on one Staging Point per evening. Members will only do other Assaults if an additional ideal party cannot be formed, either due to job makeup or lack of members. The Staging Points on which the linkshell focuses on a Saturday afternoon will follow a regular rotation. - Leujaoam Sanctum (Azouph Isle) - Lebros Cavern (Halvung) - Mamool Ja Training Grounds (Mamool Ja) - Ilrusi Atoll (Ilrusi Atoll) - Periqia (Dvucca Isle) - Nyzul Isle (Nyzul Isle) The Staging Points on which the linkshell focuses on a Wednesday evening will be chosen depending on the advancement needs of members. However, on weeks where a Nyzul Isle event is scheduled, both Wednesday and Saturday will be dedicated to the exploration and advancement of that particular area. Party Formation Parties will be formed ahead of time based on the sign-ups that are posted for the scheduled event. The holder of the Commander's Armband will be determined by a party-wide /random as the last official step before entering the Assault zone. The armband cannot be picked up until strategies and member roles have been sufficiently discussed. On Wednesdays, parties will be formed in such a way to maximize the number of successful clears. Members will be swapped out in such a way to ensure as many first-time clears as possible. If necessary, the linkshell will /shout for pickup members in Aht Urghan Whitegate to fill any gaps in the party setup. On Saturdays, parties will be formed in such a way to maximize the number of AP obtained while still ensuring a victory. Party members will only be swapped out or rotated to compensate for missing tags or disconnects. Item Distribution The distribution rules for appraised items and rewards that drop during an Assault depend on the nature of the item itself: Rare/Ex Items: Members of the party that obtain it may lot freely upon it. Sellable Items (valued at 100,000 gil or less): Members of the party that obtain it may lot freely upon it. Sellable Items (valued at 100,001 gil or more): 1. Sold to members of the party that obtains it at a 25% discount (75% of value) 2. Sold to other linkshell members in attendance at a 25% discount (75% of value) 3. Sold on the Auction House If the item is sold, the proceeds from the sale will be divided evenly among all linkshell members in attendance. A participant forfeits the right to lot on Ancient Lockbox rewards, buy rare appraisals at a discount, or receive a portion of a linkshell sale if: - they do not sign up before the posted deadline for a particular Assault event. - they arrive late and/or unprepared for a particular Assault event. - they bring less than three Imperial Army ID Tags to an Assault event, or are forced to leave early. The Mercenary Bank The Mercenarybank character is located in Aht Urghan Whitegate. Mercenarybank will hold the proceeds from all Assault rewards that are sold. Linkshell members may withdraw their share from previous Assault events at the start of each scheduled evening.
